The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. The board approved the Iowa Community Assurance Pool fiscal year 2020 Proxy Designation and Renewal Excess Liability Limit while rejecting earthquake coverage. They approved the transfer of funds of $2,251,595 from the Rural Basic Fund to the Secondary Road Fund as well as approved a special event application from Harvey Assembly of God to sell water during the Nationals Parade on August 10th in hopes of raising money for a mission trip to South Africa. The board also approved the appointment of multiple Sheriff’s Reserve Peace Officers.
