A record-breaking season came to an end this week for one of the greatest to ever don the maroon and gold. Will Dembski is now preparing for college after the Pella Christian baseball team fell in the substate finals Wednesday. Dembski holds the single season and career home run records at Pella Christian by a long margin, as his dozen this season was a mark he entered the season tied with Kade Vander Molen in holding, and his 26 career mark doubles previous holder Mike Roozeboom’s 13. Before heading to the California Institute of Technology to continue his academic and baseball careers, Dembski and fellow Eagles graduate Lawson Bruxvoort will play in the All-Star Baseball Series held by the Iowa Baseball Coaches Association August 7th through the 10th in Carroll, Iowa.
