The South Central Conference named its all-softball conference teams recently. For Knoxville Emery Neer was an unanimous selection to the first team. Neer had a great season for the Panthers leading the team with a 600 batting average which remains the top batting average in class 4A and fifth in the entire state regardless of class. Earning second team selections was Alex Griggs. Griggs lead the Panthers with five home runs and 36 RBI. Coach Coy Hupfeld told KRLS Sports not only did Neer and Griggs lead the Panthers on the field but they also were vital in getting the team through mid season adversity as well. Along with Griggs on the second team was Maddy Findley. Findley was third in the team with 34 hits and was issued 11 walks on the season. Earning honorable mention was Ashlyn Finarty, Emma Dunkin, and Olivia Maasdam. Knoxville finished 15-13 and third place in the South Central Conference.
