A hearing on the plans of the City of Indianola’s plans to build a water treatment plant was heard in District Court this afternoon. In late 2018, the City of Indianola applied for a special use permit to build a new plant with the Warren County Board of Adjustment, which was denied by the board. The City states in court documents that several hearings were delayed to accommodate concerns from citizens who lived nearby, and that the board of adjustment did not have substantial evidence on which to base its decision.
