The Pella boys golf team finally climbing the mountain and reaching the state tournament ranks as the 8th top moment of 2018-19 from the home of the Dutch. The score of 310 from the No. 3 ranked Dutch shot at the district round was 17 shots better than runner up and host Oskaloosa (327), when the team qualified in May. Pella was led by Junior John Oltman’s 75, Junior Luke Galeazzi’s 76, Freshman Will Simpson’s 79, and Junior Trey Wood’s 80. 2019 Graduate Ethan Gordon, as well as Oltman and Galeazzi, joined us on the Radio Sports Page leading up to the state meet and described how they were feeling after winning the district title:
