97 cars are entered into the 29th Annual My Place Hotels 360 Nationals at the Knoxville Raceway, which gets started tonight kicking off Southern Iowa Sprint Sprint Week, which includes ten straight nights of racing between the Knoxville Raceway and the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. Tonight will follow the same format at next week’s Nos Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals as each driver will be given the chance to time trial for two laps, run heat races, and after that slot into either a C, B, or an A-Main. One driver that would be considered one of the favorites, just on his success last year at the Nationals and his win last week at Knoxville is Gio Scelzi. Scelzi spanked the field in the All-Star Circuit of Champions event on Saturday and roared from 18th to third in the 360 feature race. Scelzi tells KRLS Sports, while he likes being one of the favorites, he is keeping things in perspective and hoping for a top ten this week and next.
