On May fourth, the Central College men’s golf team scorched the par-72 Hillcrest Country Club in Lincoln, Nebraska for an American Rivers Conference tournament-low 298.
The Dutch started the final round of the weather-shortened 54-hole tourney 12 strokes behind, but roared into second place, finishing four strokes behind host Nebraska Wesleyan.
Central senior Kobe Rhodes took second place individually with a 222, trailing the Prairie Wolves’ Alex Kubik, who won with 218. Fellow Dutch senior Trenton Sann shot the tournament’s best round in his last collegiate round with a 1-under-par 71.
