Wednesday afternoon families in Knoxville packed the Knoxville High School Commons during the 3rd annual Knoxville Community School District’s Back to School Bash. Parents had the opportunity to register their children for the 2019-2020 school year while also receiving physical and immunization forms to be turned in as well as application forms for parents and guardians to apply for free or reduced lunch for their children. Student Services Coordinator for the District Angela Nelson tells KNIA/KRLS News the bash is an awesome experience for every family that takes part. Nelson says the bash allows families to get excited about the upcoming school year while also getting them the help they might need. An array of different community organizations were on hand to let parents know about all the opportunities for their children this fall.
