The Knoxville City Council will have four people to choose from when it comes to appointing someone to fill the city’s vacant council position. According to Knoxville City Manager Aaron Adams, Jerrold Jordan, John Gotta, Mike Conner Jr. and Brian Thomas have all informed the city of their interest in the position. Currently, council members are reviewing all submitted material, and are expected to schedule a special council meeting to interview the candidates. Following the interview process, the council is expected to appoint a new member during the regularly scheduled meeting on August 19th.
