Just before 4 pm Monday, the Knoxville Police Department and Knoxville Fire and Rescue responded to the report of a two-vehicle accident at the corner of Robinson Street and Lincoln Street. According to the Knoxville Police Department a vehicle was headed westbound on Robinson Street when the driver claims the brakes would not work causing the driver to drive into the intersection during a red light and clipping another vehicle before proceeding into the traffic signal located on the northwest corner by the Knoxville Middle School. No one was injured in the accident.
