The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening. The council approved the Indianola Square Master Plan, which includes changing the streets on and surrounding the square from one-way to two-way traffic, and changing angled parking spaces on the outside of the square to parallel parking, among other changes. The council also received a presentation regarding EMS billing management, approved trail easements on the East Hillcrest Trail, and approved temporary pickleball courts in the Indianola YMCA parking lot. The council also went into closed session to discuss real estate and perform a review of City Manager Ryan Waller’s contract. The council approved a 4% raise to Waller’s salary after the review.
