The Eagles tennis team charge towards the program’s best season comes in at No. 4 in the countdown of top Pella Christian athletics stories this past academic year. Pella Christian’s girls tennis team was state bound after edging Ballard 5-4 in the Class 1A regional finals Saturday, May 18th. The Eagles won the final match of the day after the two teams traded matches back-and-forth and ended up at a 4-4 tie until the decisive ninth contest. Earlier in the season, the Eagles girls tennis team opened the year with nine straight dual meet wins, and also sent the doubles duo of Morgan Bush and Lizzy Posthuma to the state singles and doubles meet after they won the 1A Regional Doubles title in Pella on May 15th. Pella Christian would fall to Shenandoah in the round of eight.
