The Pella City Council is holding three public hearings relating to development at their meeting this evening. A resolution to adopt an amendment to the Pella Business Corridor Urban Renewal Plan, a development agreement between the City and Vermeer for financial incentives related to the state’s High Quality Jobs Program, and an ordinance to rezone land for the new Lely North America headquarters will all be considered after public hearings. Several special event permits for Central College, a resolution to accept a revised application for voluntary annexation of 35.3 acres of land along 218th avenue, and an amendment to the engineering services agreement with HDR for a wildlife fence at the Pella Municipal Airport are all on the agenda. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7:00 this evening in the Public Safety Complex.
