An Evansdale, Iowa woman has been charged with second degree burglary, a Class C Felony for an incident in Pella. Court records show 19-year-old La’Kera Turner entered a shop downtown with an unknown male accomplice. While the male distracted the victim, Turner allegedly went behind the counter and took the victim’s wallet. The victim called police and provided a description of Turner. Surveillance video at the Oskaloosa Walmart showed Turner later trying to use the victim’s credit card, which was declined because the victim had already cancelled the card. Turner is being held in the Marion County jail on a $10,000 bond, with an initial court appearance scheduled for August 15.
