While individually, the PCM wrestlers gained several medals at the traditional state meet, the Mustangs also were good enough when put together to be our number three sports story for PCM this school year as PCM made the state team duals for the first time ever. The Mustangs got to the regional duals by winning the team title at the sectionals and that qualified them for the team regionals where they promptly defeated Harland and arch-rival Carlisle to qualify. PCM found the sledding a little tougher in the state meet as the Mustangs lost their opening round match to number three seed Osage 47-21. PCM then fell to Independence in the consolations 39-36 and were defeated by Sergaent-Bluff in the final match of the day. The next four days would prove much better for the Mustangs in the traditional meet as they had five podium finishers.
