Race fans in Knoxville will get the chance to compete against the starts of NASCAR today at the Tony Stewart Foundation’s Kartapalooza at Slideways Karting Center in Knoxville. The Kartapalooza will feature a pie eating contest, putt putt competition as well as the Sage Fruit Go-Kart Spectacular which will begin at 1:30. Stewart and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers Kyle Larson and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. as well as World of Outlaws drivers Brian Brown and McKenna Haase will battle race fans on the track in the annual head-to-head competition. The spectacular is limited to 50 drivers so anyone interested in participating is asked to make a $400 entry fee donation to guarantee their spot. The Tony Stewart Foundation’s Kartapalooza raises funds to directly benefit children who are critically ill or physically disabled; animals at-risk; and drivers injured in the sport of racing. Gate donations of $5 per person are encouraged but not required. All donations benefit the 2019 Foundation Grant Program.
