For Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas the schools combine for the same top sports moment of the 2018/2019 school year, however with different perspectives. One of the wildest football games in the history of the rivalry was in week five and the top moment for both schools as the Sabers fell to the Saints 60-56. Twin Cedars’ Tytus Hunt rushed 15 times for 140 yards and scored two touchdowns while Daniel Beary was ten-for-23 for 159 yards and four touchdowns. The Saints and Sabers traded the lead numerous times and just when the lead seemed safe, Twin Cedars would fight back to make things interesting. In the end, the Saints fended off a final charge from the Sabers and got the win. Twin Cedars was in the midst of recovering from of slow start to the season and at the time was 3-3 after starting off 0-2. The Sabers would go on to finish up at 4-6. For Melcher-Dallas, Blaise Cooper caught seven passes for 79 yards and three touchdowns while quarterback Steven Krpan was 11/30 for 182 yards and six touchdowns, on the ground, Dalton Lovell led the Saints with 107 and a score. Melcher-Dallas would go on to finish the season at 4-5.
