Knoxville fall sports squads can officially begin practices today. The Football Panthers are coming off a 3-6 campaign with a very inexperienced squad. The Panthers do return many skill positions from last year, including Kieren Nichols, who led the team in rushing with 607 yards, while Mike Hudson comes back as the leading receiver. On defense, the Panthers return their top two tacklers in Ben Olsen and Blaise Hubler. Knoxville will host Fairfield in week one on August 30th. On the volleyball court, hopes are high for a breakthrough season for fourth year head coach Mollie Keitges and the Panthers as nearly the entire team returns from a South Central Conference title. Things are a little different this season for Knoxville Cross Country, as there will be co-head coaches as Michael and Mikayla Splavec will team up for the Panthers.
