The Pella School Board held a work session Monday to discuss community child care needs and how the school district fits into the solution. A presentation was given about a potential Early Childhood Center for the Pella School District, and potential options for new construction or renovation of an existing facility in the city. The board reviewed a 10 year facility plan developed last summer and what child care needs currently exist in the Pella area.

New board member Annette Smith was sworn in at the beginning of the meeting. The board also renewed a lease agreement with the Shoot-It Basketball Academy and Nursing Service Agreement with UnityPoint for one student for health needs.
