The past week at the 2019 Iowa State Fair has seen many winners and competitors representing Marion County. Recently sixty-eight FFA members from across Iowa exhibited 420 birds in the FFA Poultry Show. Skyler Windy of Pleasantville took home a few awards claiming the Reserve Champion Breeding Birds, Bantams, Single Comb, Clean Legged, Champion Bantams, Any Other Comb, Clean Legged, and Reserve Champion Bantams, Feather Legged crown as well as Champion American. The Pleasantville FFA also finished 7th in the chapter awards for the Poultry Show. 

In the FFA Market Swine Show,over 260 exhibitors showed over 500 hogs with Megan Moore of Knoxville taking home both the Champion Poland China and Fourth Overall Market Hog awards.
