The first week and a half of practice is in the books for the Pleasantville football team. The Trojans went 3-6 last season and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2013. With a plethora of returning talent this year, Head Coach Mack Jorth says the running game will be a big part of Pleasantville’s offense.
Pleasantville’s top rusher from last year graduated, but several others who got carries return to a team who is expected to utilize multiple runningbacks. Fans can expect to see a lot of the ground game this year; the Trojans only threw the ball 12 times per game last season. Pleasantville opens the season at Lynville-Sully on August 30th. District play gets underway September 27th when the Trojans host Colfax-Mingo. All Pleasantville football games this year will be streamed live on the KNIA3 stream at kniakrls.com.
