As Pleasantville football is wrapping up week two of preseason practices, Head Coach Mack Jorth is preparing for his second season leading the Trojans. Jorth spent time as an assistant coach at Grinnell before being offered the job with Pleasantville. In his first head coaching gig, he says things are going a lot smoother in his transition from year one to year two.

A plethora of talent from last season returns to this year’s team, so Jorth is expecting improvements to be made from last year’s 3-6 record. Pleasantville opens the season at Lynville-Sully on August 30th. District play gets underway September 27th when the Trojans host Colfax-Mingo.
