The PCM boys and girls cross country teams didn’t have any state qualifiers last season, but some talented runners who return this year were very close. The boys and girls teams do have slightly different outlooks for the season, but Head Coach Eric Karr says that his teams should be able to compete well in the conference based on the quality of runners they have.
Jason Stafford and Beau Webb are expected to be the top runners on the boys side. Claire Johnson is one of only two senior girls this year, and she’ll be expected to take on a leadership role as well. PCM will travel to Ames on August 29th for their first action of the season. Among the highlights on this year’s schedule are a home meet on September 26th, and the Heart of Iowa Conference Meet on October 14th.
