Tomorrow evening the Marion County Public Health Department will host their annual Roll and Read event at the Marion County Park Ball Fields followed by their Free Summer Movie Night in the Park. The Roll and Read event is an opportunity for parents to interact with their children while promoting early childhood literacy. The event features a half mile walk where parents can read individual story pages with their children while they walk around the ball fields. Different circus activities will also be featured during the event that coincide with the movie The Greatest Showman, which will be featured as part of the Free Summer Movie Night in the Park. The Roll and Read will begin at 6:30 and will run until the start of the movie which is tentatively scheduled for 8:45 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
