The Indianola School Board continued discussion about adding several new positions to the administration at their regular meeting Monday evening, including an HR position and a data analyst. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News a data analyst would be a specialized position, and is a growing need for the district in the changing world.
“With all the reporting that we do today, things like federal civil rights reporting, and state basic education survey that we do each fall and spring, as well as all of our online curriculum and things like that, there is just a lot of technical expertise needed and a lot of upfront work needed with writing queries and pulling that data out of our student information system. So very technical, time consuming items, that is tough for staff to get done with all of their other duties.”
