In her first varsity race, freshman Emily Naughton broke the Indianola girls cross country record with a time of 19:08 Tuesday on the DMACC campus, in a meet hosted by Ankeny Centennial. Naughton had the third fastest time overall in the contest, as the Indians as a whole placed 6th out of 9 teams. Ashley Rockhold was the next top finisher in 14th place for the Indians with a time of 20:15, while Bailey Blake had a time of 22:44. The Indians will next compete a week and a half from now on Saturday, September 7th at Urbandale High School.
