The Simpson College football team had a fantastic year in 2018, finishing 6-3 and 5-2 in conference play, but will try to start off their season better for 2019. The Storm had a season opening 41-29 loss to Bethel, who they will play next Saturday to start their 2019 campaign. The Storm got off to a good start, leading after the first quarter 6-0, and led after the third 22-21, but 20 points given up in the 4th quarter was too high a mountain to overcome. The Storm gave up 235 yards on the ground in the game, and lost in time of possession by over 10 minutes. The Storm righted the ship after the loss however, winning their next four contests.
