The Pella Christian traveled to the Iowa State University course in Ames Thursday evening for the season opening run at the Gilbert Invitational. No team standings or results were immediately available due to scoring errors on site. The Eagles girls team had four runners who placed well as the Eagles had two girls medal in the Top 15 individual standings. Annaliese Admiraal placed 8th individually with a time of 23:20. Placing 13th overall and 2nd for the Eagles was Sydney Hooyer at 24:15. Annika Terpstra clocked in at 26:35 and Mira Ford rounded out the team with a time of 29:53. The Pella Christian. Boys were paced by the junior Brayton Juffer at 19:50, followed by Daniel Mora Demestri at 20:04, Kaden Van Wyngarden at 21:22 and Micah DeHaan at 21:30. The Eagles return to action on September 7th at the Central College Invitational.
