The Indianola football team begins the 2019 campaign on their home field tonight hosting in-county rival Norwalk. The Indians dispatched the Warriors in the opening game of 2018 24-7 off the back of two defensive touchdowns in the second half. Head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports he thinks if the Indians can be mentally prepared for tonight’s contest, they have a good chance at winning.

“I think we’ve really stressed this week being mentally focused and taking care of our responsibilities. Physically we feel we match up well against them, but its going to be those young guys that don’t have the starts or experience, and how well they perform in a live situation.”
