The annual Nana Jana 5k Fun Run is coming up. The run is set for Saturday, September 21st and is held each year to help raise awareness of ovarian cancer. The run will take place at Dan-D Farms need the address, and is organized by owner Dan Dennison, who lost his wife to ovarian cancer. Dennison tells KNIA/KRLS News he just wants to continue to educate and make people aware of ovarian cancer because their are still people who have no idea what it is. Dennison says he didn’t even know what it was until affected his family. The run begins at 9 a.m at the Dennison farm five miles south of Knoxville on Highway 14. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio will be at the event playing music and making announcements. Those registered before September 11th will receive a t-shirt, but registration will be taken up to the morning of the event.
