indianola-3

The Indianola offense just couldn’t build upon their sporadic success Friday night, as Norwalk led from start to finish in a 26-3 defeat in their opening game of 2019. Norwalk scored on the first drive of the game to take a 6-0 lead, and that would stand until there was just two minutes left of the first half when the Warriors struck again to take a 13-0 advantage to the half. Indianola received the second half kickoff and looked to gain some momentum after a Kael Kolarik 78 yard run that got them down to the five, but the Indians failed to put the ball in the endzone and settled for a field goal making the score 13-3. Norwalk was forced to punt on their next drive, but a drop from the Indians punt return unit led to another Norwalk score and that sealed the Indians fate. The Indians fall to 0-1, and will travel to Des Moines Hoover next Friday night for their next contest.
