Today is the deadline to register and still receive a T-shirt for the Knoxville VFW Post 3519’s annual Ruck for Vets event. Registration for the event is $10 per person or $30 per person if you which you receive a t-shirt. A separate option to purchase just a t-shirt for $20 is also available. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, September 14th. Participants will have the option to carry 40 pounds of gear and can walk, run or jog with all proceeds from the event going towards the VFW 3519 Relief Fund. The event will begin with registration from 8 am to 8:45 am with step off set for 9 am. The post will be selling 50/50 tickets and will also have a silent auction as well as a beer garden and a free will donation meal. Live entertainment will also be featured.
