Tomorrow is Labor Day, a day to honor the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws, and well-being of the country. The holiday became official for the country in 1894, with 30 states previously holding holidays before it became official nationally. Since Labor Day is a federal holiday, all government buildings, the stock market, banks, post offices, schools, libraries, and many private businesses will be closed.
