Join the Monarch Watch volunteer effort as the Park Rangers at Lake Red Rock work to tag some of these unique butterflies as they pass through the area during their fall migration. Data from tagged butterflies may be used to help searchers track the monarchs’ journey to Mexico. The activity will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sat. Sept. 14 at 10:00 a.m. each morning at the South Tailwater Recreation Area. Long pants and closed toe shoes are recommended. The programs are free of charge and open to all ages, and registration is not needed.
