The Pella City Council held public hearings to consider an amendment to sign regulations in the community, and a rezoning of two adjacent lots along Idaho Drive from single-family residential to rural residential. Both first readings were approved. Council also approved a loan agreement for upcoming wastewater improvements and the final contract for several asphalt surfacing projects completed in Pella earlier this summer. Following regular business, council received a presentation of a concept plan from Harvest Investments, reviewed the solid waste contract extension with Midwest Sanitation, and discussed a right-of-way licensing agreement with Windstream during Policy and Planning.
