The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday, once again discussing the Warren County Justice Center Project. Supervisor Aaron DeKock said during the meeting that from what he sees, building the Justice Center for the approved bond budget amount of $29.9 plus the $1.2 million the board would add would build a too small building that would be inadequate for the needs of the county, and he would not support that. Other options from the User Committee, made up of those who would be using the Justice Center Facilities, included asking the public for additional money to build a courthouse that would cost around $34 million, or starting over with a new bond issue for approximately $40 million to construct the building off the square. The board took no official action on the project.

The board also approved interdepartmental fund transfers, appointed representatives to the Iowa Workforce Development Board and 2020 Census, and approved a motion to hire a new administrative clerk this fall.
