The PACE Alliance held its annual golf outing in August and raised $2,500 for the Pella Community Ambulance. Golf Committee Chairs Tim Te Grootenhuis and Vicki Cowman along with committee members Alie Muller-Heit, Jay Davis, Angela Arkema and Sarah Treft organized this year’s event with an extra purpose in mind – to give back to those who protect the safety of businesses and citizens. Golfers and sponsors raised $2,500 to assist in the purchase of full body mattress and a pediatric restraint system. Pella Community Ambulance will use the mattress for a more comfortable bed top for patients to be transported, and the pediatric system will immobilize children when needed during transport for their safety. This event brought together 110 members/golfers, 20 sponsors, 31 volunteers and members of the Central Golf Team.
