Lely International has announced that Chad Huyser has been named President of Lely North America. Huyser will lead Lely’s North American efforts from headquarters in Pella and serve as one of five Lely Regional Directors worldwide. Huyser joined Lely in 2007 and was most recently Vice President of North America operations. Huyser says he’s thankful for the opportunity to lead the robotic milking company and its continued growth in the United States.

“We have high expectations for the North American market and plans that will require all members of our company to take on even larger responsibilities,” Huyser said. “With that, we are very fortunate within Lely to have strong leaders and team members with a collective passion for dairy and livestock producers worldwide. This passion, combined with the expertise and knowledge of the dairy industry and application of technology, will continue to be invaluable as we look forward to delivering on Lely’s vision of creating a sustainable, profitable and enjoyable future in farming for dairy producers across North America.”

Huyser is leading the effort to establish a new headquarters facility in Pella, as the company is currently located on Vermeer’s campus. He is working with the City of Pella to rezone and develop new land south of Highway 163 on Exit 44. Hear more about Huyser’s new title and Lely’s expansion on today’s In Depth with Dr. Bob Leonard.
