Complete domination, that is how you would describe Knoxville’s night on Friday against Saydel. The Panthers left know doubt who the better team was in a 56-0 destruction of the Eagles. It took the Panthers a couple of series to get the motors fired, but when they did there was no stopping them jumping out 14-0 after one quarter and essentially putting the game out of reach at halftime up 28-0. Three first half touchdowns by Kieren Nichols two scores from Keegan Cox and two more from Mike Hudson added up to eight touchdowns in the game and a Ben Olson run. Nichols had 108 yards on nine carries along with 84 yards passing plus Cox amassed 101 yards on the ground as Knoxville totaled 397 yards of offense and only holding Saydel to 17 for the game. Coach Eric Kellar praised his defense for being in the right spots and defending the triple option. Knoxville is now 2-0 and heads to Centerville next week with the Big Reds also at 2-0 on the season.
