Knoxville is busy tonight as the Panthers will host mostly likely their toughest test of the volleyball season as the class 4A #13 Panthers battle class 3A #15 Albia. Both teams are 1-0 in South Central Conference play. Knoxville has gone largely unchallenged since a season opening quad that the Panthers went undefeated in two weeks ago, since then, Knoxville has not dropped a set in five matches. First serve is set for 7:15. While volleyball is playing at home, the cross country squads will head to Grinnell. After a third place finish at the Pella High Invitational on Saturday, Knoxville Freshman runner Norah Pearson tells KRLS Sports the support and hard work of her teammates is one reason for her early season success. Boys Head Coach Michael Splavec tells KRLS Sports he has been impressed by Freshman Kaden McGill. McGill finished 41st overall at Pella on Saturday and third on the team, and Splavec thinks he has just scratched the surface on what he can do. The girls are scheduled to run at 4:55 this afternoon with the boys to follow at Ahrens Recreation Complex in Grinnell.
