For those Downton Abbey fans excited about the upcoming movie, the Pella Public Library and the Friends of the Library are offering a special presentation to the public. Downstairs at Downton will be held on Tuesday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m. Historian Kathy Wilson will discuss what life is really like below stairs at a place like Downton Abbey and focuses on the realities of domestic service at Highclere Castle during the early 20th century. The program will begin at 6:30 pm on the 17th in Room 206 of the Pella Community Center. It is free and open to the public.
