For the second straight week, the Knoxville Football Squad physically dominated and imposed its will on an opponent. This time it was against Centerville in a 24-10 victory in a game heard live on 95.3 KNIA. The score was not an indication of how dominate the Panthers were limiting Centerville’s leading rusher McCain Oden to just 40 yards on 11 carries while the Panthers rolled up 286 yards of offense, all on the ground. Kieren Nichols scored first from 19 yards out in the first quarter followed by a Wyatt Darnell 35 yard field goal to make it 10-0. Carter Bailey had the play of the game as Knoxville went for it on fourth down and a yard to go on their own 44 yard line. Coach Eric Kellar told KRLS Sports the defense also played well especially on the option plays that Centerville tried to run. Bailey led Knoxville with 135 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Knoxville is now 3-0 for the first time since 2015 and will return home to play Chariton on Friday.
