Another bond issue will be put forth to the voters this fall, as the Warren County Board of Supervisors approved a measure to ask for an additional $3.5 million to build the Warren County Justice Center. In a special meeting Thursday evening, the board took questions from Warren County residents on the project, and the options moving forward. Several residents raised questions on the possibility of moving the project off the square to different location, which would be estimated to cost more than $37 million. The other option put forward was to ask for a additional funds to build a usable building on the square. After hearing from the public and the county staff who would be using the building, Supervisor Doug Shull made the motion to go back to the voters for the additional funds. The motion passed 2-1, with Supervisors Shull and Aaron DeKock voting in favor of going back to the voters, and Board Chair Crystal McIntyre voting against. The official language of the ballot measure will be voted on Tuesday. The bond issue will be voted on November 5th.
