The Pella City Council will consider the steps necessary to become a Home Base Iowa community at policy and planning following regular business Tuesday. Council will discuss potential incentives for the program helping veterans find jobs, explore career paths, and make a smooth transition to civilian life. Council will review a possible waiver on building permit fees or a credit toward community services programming. Additionally, the council will discuss potential signage locations, in anticipation of consideration of a formal resolution at a later meeting. This week’s Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
