A presentation titled “The Towns Under Lake Red Rock” will be presented by the Marion County Historical Society at the First United Methodist Church Activity Center located at 308 E. Robinson in Knoxville this evening.
Tracy Spry with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Red Rock office will discuss six Marion County river towns and other historical points of interest that were lost in the development of Red Rock Reservoir. The towns of Red Rock, Cordova, Coalport, Fifield, Rousseau, and Dunreath will be discussed.
The event is free and open to the public will begin at 7pm. Persons with a family history from Red Rock or the other towns are invited to take part in the discussion which will follow the presentation. Light refreshments will be served.
