The PCM Mustang volleyball team fell in straight sets Tuesday to the Comets of North Polk 25-11, 25-14 and 25-6. Junior Celeste Wagaman lead the Mustangs with 7 kills who were without senior setter Shelby Voeller who rolled her ankle Monday. The Mustangs were also at a height disadvantage on the night as the Comets featured four girls over 5 feet 10 inches tall against the Mustangs who only have one. Head Coach Mike Vittetoe tells KNIA/KRLS Sports with the combination of Voeller being out and North Polks height it made for a long night for the Mustangs. Vittetoe says the Comets had his Mustangs scrambling at the net and trying to block three hitters with two girls. The Mustangs fall to 4-13 on the year and will next travel to North Mahaska on Saturday.
