
Several local teams hit the road to the Diamond Trail Golf Course to compete at the Lynnville-Sully invitational Thursday.
Pella Christian’s boys finished 3rd as a team, scoring 95 points, finishing just eight points behind Colfax-Mingo. Daniel Mora-Demestri finished 9th among individuals, with a time of 19:47, followed by Kaden Van Wyngarden in 21st at 20:25. Andrew Freel of Twin Cedars was the 43rd fastest individual among boys.
Rylee Dunkin of Twin Cedars was the top finisher in the girls race, winning with a time of 20:04.3, which gives her a third school record broken this season alone. Teammates Kisha Reed and Cheyanne Bruns were 8th and 9th respectively.
Sydney Hooyer of Pella Christian was 10th among girls (23:12.2) and teammate Syndey Hooyer was right behind her in 11th (23:20.8). Neither the Sabers or the Eagles had enough runners to field a team score on the girls side.
