A two vehicle accident involving a Knoxville school bus occurred at approximately 6:45 am today in the 1000 block of Rutledge Street south of Knoxville. The accident occurred when a white SUV traveling eastbound crashed into a Knoxville school bus as it was either entering or exiting a driveway at the top of a hill. One child was on the bus at the time of the accident. Neither the child, the bus driver, or the driver of the SUV was injured, and the SUV sustained significant damage. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Columbia Fire and Rescue, and Knoxville school representatives responded to the accident.
