A 4-0 week by the Central College volleyball team, including five-set victory against rival Simpson College, spurred right-side Krissa Larson on to being named the offensive player of the week in the American Rivers Conference. Larson hit .493 (42-7-73) on the week, highlighted by a season-high 15 kills against Simpson on Wednesday. She helped Central rally from a 2-1 deficit to win the two final games in a 3-2 victory. In three matches of the Central-Grinnell Invitational, Larson had 19 total kills and at least one block in all three matches. She was named to the all-tournament team. The Dutch are back in action Thursday for an American Rivers Conference match against Buena Vista University. The match is set for 7 p.m. in Storm Lake.
