The Marion County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session today. The board will discuss and take possible action towards a joint city/county agreement with the city of Pella regarding the Lely Urban Renewal Area. They will consider approval and 2nd reading of a proposed zoning map amendment regarding Sanctuary Gardens. The board will discuss and take possible action regarding the Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency funding request for vehicle replacement totaling $32,175 as well as a funding request regarding an Aging Resources of Central Iowa transportation funding cut backfill for $3,510. They will discuss and take possible action for a site plan review of 1877 Highway 14 in Knoxville regarding an expansion of commercial property as well as consider a resolution to approve Jennifer Geery as authorized to sign sheriff’s deeds. The board will hear an update and hold a discussion regarding a proposed commercial wind energy ordinance. The meeting will begin at 9am and will be held inside the Marion County Courthouse.
